From July of this year, every vehicle registered in the European Union will be required to have driver-monitoring cameras in place. That’s not every new car manufactured, but every car registered.

@freepatriot Not true. I have close connections with many swedes who have older cars, and none need to install this.

In new cars, I would not be surprised if surveillance tech comes built in by default, but installing this in every old car is not politically possible, since it would lead to riots and lost elections.
