USSR: People like the theoretical system, not the actual people who ran it. Also, it only got really bad under Stalin. Lenin was still somewhat okay.
Nazi Germany: Mustache Man was best political propagandist of the century. His charisma still echo to this day.
Cambodia: I'm pretty sure most people have no idea, what happened in Cambodia without asking Google. Try Communist China. More people familiar with it and it's actually pretty similar.
