@spectre Perhaps they are, but I am talking about how countries and peoples broadly are further left in terms of how much government they allow in their lives. Which by those metrics, most of Europe is further left.

Though many on the American left are just as far left as the furthest left in Europe. Kindred spirits in that way.

Kind of a weird mix of things from what I know, but I would be glad to hear the differences if there are details I am missing.
