@RupertvonRipp @WashedOutGundamPilot The gaps in numbers are reflective on how women are more likely to moralize a woman's wrongdoing as somehow okay because they cannot bring themselves to admit that sometimes women do bad things because they are self-centered. "No, women are pure angels who are never capable of having selfish motives!"
The numbers do show that most women at least are consistent with condemning cheating for both men and women, but the gap is still present.
@houseoftolstoy @RupertvonRipp That’s thanks to pop culture and media today though, in ages past they’d be even harder on the women than the guys would. The menfolk would push for a punishment but it wouldn’t take forever, women would close ranks and exile the whore from society altogether. We need each other to moderate each other that way, can’t have single -gender judgement systems because we gotta cover blind spots together
@RupertvonRipp @WashedOutGundamPilot And even if women will answer that it is "always wrong," there are still some who will try and moralize the woman's bad actions. "Sure, it was wrong for her to cheat, but she must have had a good reason!"
This thinking shows that we can never have true equality, as there is still too strong of a tendency to give women a pass for their wrongdoing.
