No, they put the most effort into sports, getting full ride scholarships at colleges who also do not care if they have any acadrmic rigor, as they are just using the athletes to get sports revenue.
By the time they go pro, they lived a life coasting in terms of academics and finances, so they are not surprisingly incompetent with money.
