@WashedOutGundamPilot @deprecated_ii Dave Ramsey has a good understanding about how to manage personal finances and help people get out of debt, but he does not have an "eyes on the ground" view of what is going on with younger generations.
It is just like in Office Space when Peter says "It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care." So many young men just don't care any more. Give them a good reason to go out there and work, and they will do it.
@WashedOutGundamPilot @deprecated_ii Just what is causing young men to give up? They feel they have no stake in society. What gives men a feeling of having stake in society? A family. And look what has happened to the family. Divorce is rampant, thanks to women being able to turn "till death do us part" to "for whatever reason I feel like." So many men simply cannot see having a family and KEEPING said family as a realistic prospect.
Give men a better deal, and they can once more be motivated.
@WashedOutGundamPilot @deprecated_ii Perhaps family is not the only thing that gives men stake, but it sure is a major one. Men need to know that they will not be screwed over at any moment or be stuck in a miserable marriage in order for them to have a desire to get married in the first place. Though frankly, so many women are not marriageable that even rolling back some of the bad laws might not be enough.
Hey Dave, how about we give men a better deal before bringing on the shaming tactics?
