I agree that certain kinds of women like to uglify the characters men like out of jealousy

but there's another angle there. I think they misunderstand the causality: they think men like the characters *because* they're in a game or other media, that men are being *trained* to like what those characters offer. so they think if they can put different, uglier, "more realistic" characters in those slots, men will like that instead

rather than emulate what the characters look like or do, they want to make men like something else instead. which is obviously a fool's errand

@deprecated_ii So your theory is a case of those women having misunderstanding the cause-and-effect chain? You may be on to something, as we see that with all the "body positivity" and "big is beautiful" propaganda by fat women.

It makes sense that women would come to this conclusion, because this is how they think. They are far more likely to go along with social pressures, thus they think men will if they attempt the same thing on them.
