Subtly wrong. When dealing with someone that is enough of a dumbass to have convinced himself of such a ridiculous belief, you aren’t going to get a rational response to a well-reasoned refutation, because he won’t understand it, because he’s a dumbass.

@dave The problem here is that you can make this claim about any topic of debate in order to justify your unwillingness to debate or defend your ideas. It is really easy just to declare yourself being soooo much more intelligent than your opposition that it makes debate pointless.
Yes, there are dumbasses not worth debating, but there are also midwits who are too full of themselves who think themselves smarter than they are who refuse to do any debate.
