Been seeing a lot of anti-car rhetoric going around lately. Is this part of the whole 15 minute city thing? I do love how normies can only ever consider their immediate benefit. All of it relies on a benevolent government taking care of them. I mean surely they’ll never be corrupt like ever guys. I get no one likes morning traffic and wasting hours of ur life commuting (and commies are lazy so they don’t like anything effort or work related). But everything has trade offs and consequences.

@Pain66 I have also noticed many YouTube channels that discuss urban planning becoming more prevalent. That is, I think there may be a not so subtle nudge by their algorithms to see that sort of content to promote content that is against car centric city design.

Granted, I do not have a problem with much of their ideas presented, though I am suspicious that it will be a foot in the door for tyranny down the road, just as you suspect.

@houseoftolstoy It’s very convenient. Who wouldn’t like to avoid morning traffic and sleep in? But exchanging convenience for centralised government control is what got us here in the first place.
