Was listening to the local area's BoomerCon radio station this morning, and one of the hosts was responding to a comment. That comment was something about how "We don't have the conviction to do what needs to be done to take this country back" with a strong implication that it would not be something peaceful.
As you can expect, the host said in response that "We will stop them, because we are going to vote out the bad politicians."
Yeah, just what you would expect.
I get why some people for various and even justified reasons would not want to carry out actions that would be considered too extreme or violent. But if you would never be able to do that, at the very least just don't even bring it up or try to cope with "we'll vote 'em out" when voting is not going to fix anything. Just admit that it is unfixable, at the very least.
And even if Trump somehow were to win, do you really think it will fix everything?
@KG_Analytical_Dynamics_LLC I have to wonder how much of it is genuine fear and how much of it is just performative hysterics. Given that they (attempt to) shape the narrative for the public, they are fully aware of how what they say affects many people. So I would not put it past them to just be a bunch of liars pushing an agenda.
"It will just be awful if Trump gets elected (again)!" As if we did not already have 4 years where basically everything was mostly fine.
