if gasoline wasn't already an established fuel there's no way it would be adopted today. it's way too dangerous

They'd probably ban alcoholic beverages if they were invented today, for the same reasons.

@john_rando @deprecated_ii funny you mention that. For a brief period, alcohol was banned in the U.S. for the same reason a lot of things are banned today. It is a certain section of the population (about half) that advocated for that ban and is the same that is hysterical if we were to push for those alternatives that might be "dangerous."
