DEVELOPING! Authorities are investigating after a pilot ejected from a plane Sunday afternoon in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Joint Base Charleston says they are working with local emergency personnel to respond to a “mishap” involving a Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort F-35 near North Charleston.

According to officials, a pilot was found on South Kenwood Drive after safely ejecting from the passing plane and was transported to a local medical center.

@TwistedEagle Ejection from an aircraft is strongly frowned upon. Either way, after an event like this the pilot will likely lose his flight status due to the trauma he endured from Ejection. The flight surgeon will not clear him as fit-for-duty.
Hope it was necessary and he doesn't face discipline review board. A brand new F35 will not have any issues. Then again, things happen.
