I remember meeting this guy who worked for an auto company. He cut a hole in his finger on a piece of equipment on the job. His boss sent him to the company doctor who told him not to worry about it, measured the hole and sent him home with a scrip. Of course his finger was still hurting him days later so he went to his own doctor who saw his injury, freaked out and stitched and disinfected the wound right away. This world is run by company doctors, people who put bandaids on bullet wounds and tell you everythings fine because otherwise it'll cost thecompany too much money.

I've heard it explained: The company wants you patched up and ready to go back to to work.

On the other hand, many companies, once you get into valuable positions l, will pay for gym memberships, proper vaccinations, offer discounts on the insurance if you get regular physicals, etc....
I've taken advantage of all of the aforementioned.
