Steve Bannon just said something that REALLY pisses me off, perhaps a first for me. He feels the father of Charlie's murderer raised a demon, and that if he hadn't turned in his son, HE would have been charged as an accessory.

Said by a lucky man whose daughter shares his world view & wasn't turned in college.

I know too many parents who raised their kids right only to have them changed in college. Some of us (like me) chose schools we thought were ok after doing research.

Sigh.

I disagree with Steve's assessment of how that young man was raised. We'll never really know, but we DO know that he turned in his own son, which seems like something a good father would do.

His father is a retired sheriff.
He did it because he has an image to protect.
Moreover, police are known to be egomaniac and impulsive. Probably where the son got it from.

What a strange comment. I knew he was a retired sherrif.
I don't know the father personally. But I read that after learning what his son had done, he went to his minister before turning him in.
