Normie Catholic apologist, sobbing: "C-Catholics don't worship saints!"

Elderly Spanish peasant of indeterminable age: "If we stop leaving offerings at the shrine our local patron, St. Raimundo the Jew Smasher, our crops will die, the land will fall to darkness, and the modernist Masonic heretics will prevail."
@LouisConde Well actually that's just veneration, it's a totally different thing.

@yockeypuck @LouisConde if you wanna get technical offerings to saints and prayers, at least on the spanish catholic tradition ALL feature the phrase "intercede por nosotros" (intercede for us) as the intention is not praying to the saint, but pray for the saint to talk on your behalf with god and christ, as it is understood the saint is closer to christ and god than you are, so you ask teh saint for him to send your prayers to god and jesus just like you would ask a friend you trust to ask a favour on your behalf from someone you aren't as close with.

@EdBoatConnoisseur @yockeypuck @LouisConde that doesnt make sense either, as a believer in Christ we are endowed with the Holy Spirit. We have a direct line to God.

carefully consider that you want spanish culture to make sense, the culture that loves stabbing each other to the point they had more dedicated knife fighting schools in the country than regular schools and churches combined...

"more dedicated knife fighting schools in the country than regular schools and churches combined..."

That is how you create a society dedicated to defending itself against unjust inititiation of violent aggression

As long as there is some sort of safety like modern fencing gear kind of stuff so people do not get cut
