I was watching this documentary on alternative medicine

There was this Indian who advised people to make themselves bleed

But he did not just advise to make themselves bleed in a generic manner

They were to do it as part of a community ritual in a specific place and schedule according to him

It looked to me like they were all sharing the same outdoor objects to make themselves bleed

If one person had hepatitis he could end up giving it to the whole community because they did this regularly
