Bosco Verticale accommodate 730 trees (480 large, 250 small),[36] 5,000 shrubs, and 11,000 perennials and groundcover on its façades.[37] The original design had specified 1,280 tall plants and 920 short plants encompassing 50 species.[38] Overall, the vegetation is the equivalent of that found in a one hectare of forest.[36]
There are a total of 94 different plant species, of which 59 are beneficial for birds, 60 are trees and shrubs, and 33 are evergreens.[40]
