The libertarian left was a real thing

They wanted to legalize drugs like libertarians but did not agree with right libertarians on certain other economic issues

In the past both the Democrats and Republicans wanted to outlaw drugs

Making the Libertarian left distinctly different than Democrats and the Libertarian Right at least in the past

I still don't understand how drugs are a libertarian issue. Addiction would be the opposite of liberty.
@bobbala @shortstories Because it pays. It generates a lot of social work and NGO management positions. Especially for women and minorities who figure out how to tap into the flow of money that's available.

Libertarians do not necessarily support using drugs they simply support not having people put in prison or jail for using drugs

@shortstories I considered myself a left-libertarian for a couple years; before becoming a serious Christian. It’s kind of that Noam Chomsky zone.
