Why do they call it non-insignificant instead of significant?
Statisticians do not want to say that they found a statistically significant difference but that they reject the null hypothesis that the difference is not significant
What did they do read some peer reviewed journal with an alpha value of 0.05 to decide whether or not their was significant racism, & sexism in the game
Then the journal article said for an alpha value of 0.05 we rejected the null hypothesis of insignificance
To the layman, saying it was a "significant" amount makes it sound pervasive. "Non-insigificant" conveyes that it is a small amount, but not small enough that it could just be brushed off.
