I decided a while ago that I'm not going to ever become a cop not because of any kind of hatred of cops, but because I will definitely do something considered an abuse of authority. I would go 50s police on someone's ass and surprisingly it wouldn't even have anything to do with race.
When you live in a multiracial society, everything has to do with race. You may not go into it thinking about race but that doesn't mean the tribalistic "others" aren't because their skin is their battle flag. You don't have a choice and you are entirely at their nonexistent mercy for you. Take it from someone who has had to deal with other races in all aspects of my industry, that they are ever ready to accuse someone who is not them of the nebulous boogeyman of racism when things do not go as they intended or they are told that they cannot do something. Don't be naïve.
@Owl I'm not, I'm just saying that in this hypothetical scenario I'd probably try to brutalize as many White passing pedos and drug dealers as I could before being sent to court for abusing authority as law enforcement. That was sort of the intended implication. I wasn't born yesterday, I know race matters. I wouldn't be here if I didn't.
Yeah you'll definitely be fucked by the system, especially since the police are the ones who protect people who don't deserve protection in the first place. That and police oftentimes have rigorous screening processes to stop exactly what you are hypothetically suggesting from happening.
@Owl which is why I said I'd never become a police officer. I actually tried to get into an elective in high school that would educate people in what one needs for becoming a police officer and my application to it got rejected lmao, so I was rejected even before I could seriously consider making it my career lmao

You do not need to go to a specific high school to become a police officer, the education requirement is very low and libertarian forums were posting how some guy was rejected from becoming a police officer because he scored to high on a IQ test

You can waste your money & get a criminal justice degree & that will make it slightly easier to become a police officer, but basically it involves waiting in line & frequently applying to become a police officer if you are white

@WhiteJihadJaws @Owl

I am pro police when they enforce laws I like and anti police when they enforce laws I do not like

They're more than willing to ignore people committing actual crime (or will show up far too late to actually do anything of use) but will come down on you hard and swift for being "racist." I have seen blacks posting pictures of themselves using their real names on Facebook wielding illegally modified weapons, and nothing has ever happened to them. Compare it to if you say something vaguely antagonistic or outright racist, and especially anti-government, and they'll have guys stacked outside your door that same day.

It depends on where you live

In some suburbs the police behave relatively good but do not go online looking for crime.

@shortstories @Owl this is something I tried to explain to my dad who was a cop for a very short while before working in security. I don't support the institution of law enforcement as it is, I see the thin blue line flag as a political flag of the system and i think good people in the force are stopped from doing their job. Apparently in the eyes of someone with conservatives priors, that makes me no better than blm or whatever.
@shortstories @Owl this was just an elective class that would prepare people for careers they *might* want, because they know people are more likely to switch their plans more likely than anything so it was nothing too major. I just thought it was weird I got rejected because I didn't think there was anything wrong with what I wrote for an application. I gradually became more anti cop as time went on though so I'm glad that door got closed in my face. I basically have zero interest now.
