Just buy a real laptop. any $100-$150 refurb laptop is going have 10x the juice of a chromebook. They are barebones systems with the software tailored to hide it.

I am not sure if I should be looking for something else on the list of information
is it the Asus Chromebook Flip C213SA or the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (R751T)
but it looks like you can install linux natively (its in this guys supported hardware list so following his instructions should lead to some success https://docs.mrchromebox.tech/docs/getting-started.html)
