Just think.

Asians have to learn the English alphabet Just to write there own language into a computer which translates it to asian characters.

Imagine if this was reversed & your keyboard was in Japanese or chinese characters.

Korean does not have as many letters as Japanese and it has no upper case and lower case letters so you can use shift for more letters. They also could combine simple vowels to form compound vowels if you press them in the right order reducing the number of keys required although I do nit remember if they do that. The keyboard is the same as for English letters but they just put different labels on the keys
