@benis_redux wörk and Win10 EOL. No, it couldn't be scheduled earlier because _reasons_.
@benis_redux I don't have anything else in my meme folder about this that isn't Win11-tan lewds. :blush_cirno:

@j @benis_redux @phnt me neither but I only use LTSC if I have to use Windows at all

@Vo @benis_redux @phnt I had Windows 10 but then I switched to Linux and then Linux started to become gay so I switched to FreeBSD

@Vo You don't happen to have the original video that rant came from, do you?

I switched from windows to chromebook on my next computer after I was told not to shut down my computer until it installs 51 updates

I left it plugged in while I went to sleep

Maybe 8 hours later it was still on the exact same update number out of 51 and was through less than half the updates

Chromebook, the Unix based google?
If U are going in the direction of Unix just go for the real thin, get some Linux distro. Mint is really popular. I have been using it of the last 8 years.

Why would I purchase a microsoft computer and then install linux on it, if I am trying to boycott microsoft

Chromebooks are cheaper than linux only computers that I have seen on websites

I can not go to a brick n mortar store like best buy or Wal-Mart and say I would like to buy a linux only computer without microsoft or app!e for the operating system

apple is even more expensive than microsoft

The brick n mortar store choices are

Apple
Microsoft
Google Chromebook

I thought you installed chrome on your old laptop.

Either way, you should be able to install Linux on any computer.

My wife has a chrome book that has reached its last automatic update.

It took about 30 minutes just to update the browser. That's why I looked it up and yes, it's possible to install Linux on a chrome book.

A chrome book, as I remember it, is dirt sheep.
Your problem is solved I get it.

I would still install Linux on it though.

@EvolLove

So the chromebook is supposed to automatically have linux if I turn something on in the settings and I turned it on but it never worked

One day an app appeared to use linux but I never tried it, it seems suspicious since the app was not there before

They said I was on my last update but I can still update manually but they will uninstall all my apps

I waited for some time to do so

When I did update manually they unistalled all my apps but would not let me reinstall them

@EvolLove

The manual updates since them have been automatic and instant not 30 minutes long.

But they do not let me use google play store apps anymore except the ones they chose even though it is a google chrome book

Still better than my old windows computer

My old windows computer I believe deactivated microsoft word and or excel within less than 6 months of use I would guess. I found a receipt for buying those products again.

It also is less functional and is basically a DVD player now
