@Bakke @shortstories Unfortunately you can't use normal national level population IQ reasoning about India, for it's divided into thirty thousand endogamous jati (they only marry inside the group, too often on pain of death), plus there's "tribals" and others outside that system but probably much the same.

On the other hand, current Indian democracy means severe discrimination again the Brahmin caste has resulted in brain drain and other similar "dumbing down the whole nation" results ... and revenge viciousness in the US by expat Brahmins.

A general conclusion I've read is that India's huge middle class doesn't have what it take to maintain an industrial civilization. We may see....
