How much money would you need in a savings account to earn the sane interest per month for doing nothing as people on welfare earn for doing nothing
@shortstories @SamHarris a savings account? That's a terrible idea. A brokerage would be a better idea, or a GIC agreement with a bank for fixed income or an annuity.

Whatever the investment structure you need to put a lot of money into it to get as much money per month as people on welfare or disability or food assistance programs make per month
Some people work for decades to in order to be able to earn the starting incone of someone on government programs who does not work, when tbey quit working
