In the United States Students should be able to opt out of all English class requirements for graduating High Schools and Universities by taking a class or set of classes in which they must translate a foreign language into proper English grammar which in doing so teaches proper English grammar but teaches an additional new skill to Native English speakers who can already speak proper English

@shortstories They should have to pass their math classes too or be forever marked as an idiot that cannot do fractions.

This question in no way says or asks whether or not math should be required

By combining English and Foreign language into a single class the person would have to take less credits, this credit reduction could be replaced with extra math requirements and result in the same number of credits

I suggest a no calculator math requirement proving you can do certain math problems in your head without a calculator nor a paper and pencil and to be able to do more difficult math problems with a paper and pencil but no calculator
