If nobody ate meat or dairy would the population of bovine actually decease because people would stop protecting them from predators and giving them food in order to farm them for meat and milk

If so does veganism promote animal extinction while claiming to prevent the execution of animals by humans

And can humans cause an animal to be extinct while simultaneously never executing that animal again
