Ultrajectine or Ultramontane

Sedevacantist or not Sedevacantist

The pope was not officially declared infallible until Vatican 1 which was close to the year 1870 AD

Ultramontane Catholics that declare the pope infallible are hetetics as in they departed from the original teaching

@shortstories @j Yeah man, but Vatican I is an excellent read, even if one doesn’t subscribe to the Ecclesiology posited.

@shortstories @j It correctly points out basically everything wrong with the modern world, in some of the finest language I’ve ever had the pleasure of perusing

@shortstories @j Oh and - as a hopefully useful side-note; the whole modernist push to tack “Pseudo-“ to Dionysios the Areopagite is utter crap, to put it mildly

@j
It is possible to claim that birth control is morally wrong to use for whatever reasons & that the pope is not infallible

It is also possible to say that birth control is not morally wrong to use for whatever reasons & that the pope is not infallible

But if you claim the pope is infallible whatever moral claim you you make about birth control for whatever reasons may have to change whenever the pope declares something & then change again to contradict the previous claim because of the pope

@shortstories you said a whole lot of stuff that didn't make sense.
