I was thinking touch screen devices with no physical keyboard like Amazon Kindle and some so called "smart" phones might have their operating system no longer supported after a certain number of years

Are there Linux operating systems for touch screen only devices that someone could install if the operating systems are discontinued by the big companies that sell these devices and regularly update the operating systems

I do not want to install it

But touchscreen might be important for linux
