A rabbit hole got me reading about Islam this morning.
There's some neat stuff in this religion.
In the long term, however, I think it fits the Persian and Arab peoples and not my own.
Same way Judaism is great for Jews, but not the West.
And Christianity? The same seems to apply. I am fond of the old churches and the most Westernized traditions (Methodist, Calvinist, Episcopalian).
I find it that the best kind of religion that works for western civilization is just Orthodox Christianity, I like to look at the Amish religious following to see how that might work and even in their religious following the women are covered, sure they are not covering their face but they are not allowed show show any neck, chest, arms or leg skin, they can show hands and feet. with regards to their hair it they cover it, things like that.
@amerika you might be right, I am already seeing many Amish abandoning their ban on technology, giving smart phones to their daughters and we all know where that will lead to.

The Amish will last ten minutes in the political shift that is coming.
I dunno what the answer is for religion. Theocracy and atheism are out in my view.
