It feels to me like we're in a political crisis and the possible outcomes are: 1: We want all-the-things to be competition and the winner takes all. 2: We want to ensure that basic needs for the many are paid for by taxes from earned wealth. So I'm curious which feels better to you...

@nathan for all of you who are voting, you probably have not figured it out but this poll is basically a clever way of asking, do you want capitalism or do you want communism. Now, for all of you that think that communism is a great thing bc your Marxist professors told you so, please read a book about basic economics and talk to someone who lived under communism, interestingly enough, all of those who live under communism prefer capitalism, google James town and the starving times.

@37712 I suspect that my 2 options poll was a little limiting, but I also suspect that there's options in between capitalism and communism which are viable and fair.

@nathan that sweet spot that you are talking about is probably democracy, but again I implore you, grab a history book, look at what the founding fathers thought about democracy. founding fathers created a limited federal government, with a capitalist economy, with a republic as its political system for a reason.

@37712 I'm not actually American and the founding fathers is not something that I'm all that aware of, but I am steeped in historical study, but I'll see what I can find to read. Thank you.

@nathan to give you a clue, the founding fathers despised democracy, that is why they created a republic but modern america is not a republic anymore it is a democracy and democracy s always end in dictatorship.
