workstations that support the new Rust Cosmic DE going forward. Meanwhile Gnome can go sit in the corner.
@37712 Yes, but rebuilt ground up using Rust, which should help greatly with performance and stability.
Personally, I've always liked the gnome aesthetic, but frustrated by where it lacks, not to mention it's latest organizational politics.
Pop OS was a decent attempt at trying to polish out the problems of Gnome, but the rebuilding of foundational toolkits really gives them the freedom to build a much better desktop environment
