@charlie_root no one cares and no one is impressed
@charlie_root @theorytoe @37712 Serum is an easy one. yabridge+wine-tkg (you need a github account). winetricks dxvk and gdiplus in your prefix.
Personally, I use a separate prefix for each manufacturer to allow me to roll backwards and forwards easily. Reaper is great. Dependent on what you are doing though (and budget) you might find utility in Bitwig. Also Studio One has just launched for linux. Thanks for the mention of openmpt.
@charlie_root @theorytoe @37712 I don't know about splice. That's just for serum via xferrecords. You might not have the best luck with a subscription services. Serum is a great synth but there are lots of alternatives out there. If budget is important there are a bunch of Linux based synths that do a lot for little money. Bitwig is laden with synths, there's u-he, Surge XT, all the nakst synths. If you want something flexible like Serum, there's phaseplant, current and pigments using wine.
@charlie_root @theorytoe @37712 Vital is a great synth worth paying for. It definitely gives Serum a run for it's money. I haven't tried Odin. Serum is a really nice synth and the other plugins at xferrecords are great.
@charlie_root @theorytoe @37712 Thanks for Odin 2, hadn't come across that.
@charlie_root @theorytoe @37712 Good lists. Discodsp make some good synths as well. I've yet to find a good use for Amigo. It'll happen. You'll probably enjoy the u-he synths when you get to them. They have some good free ones but the paid ones are excellent. They've recently released Zebralette 3 as a beta and it's really nice and free. https://u-he.com/news/#zebralette-release
@charlie_root @theorytoe @37712 I have a lot of synths. The bitwig ones are great and especially useful if you're trying to learn sound design. I have a soft spot for the u-he synths. With wine, Arturia make a great range. Probably the most useful plugin I have is pianoteq.
I couldn't give two shits what you think. Maybe you should just block me and take your negative vibes somewhere else!
