A lot of companies create "ghost jobs" they have no intention of filling to skirt the laws regarding the hiring of these "replacement Americans."

They'll do a swarm of 10-min garbage interviews to US citizens, rubber-stamp that they don't meet requirements, then hire "skilled-labor" for 60% (or less) from overseas.

Some bean-counter on the board of directors with a last name including "berg" is very very pleased with this hiring decision.

As an added bonus, these "Replacement Americans" are contractors, so the corpos don't have to pay health insurance or any sort of benefits. The "Replacement Americans" can leech off the taxpayers or go to the ER for sore throats.

This thing is incredibly destructive from top to bottom.
