"Hard times create strong men", doesn't mean you need constant war to keep the men strong. All men need to be strong, is to be responsible for themselves:

That means hunting for your own food, instead of it being delivered to you already processed. It means protecting your property and loved ones, instead of calling the cops.

And no parent should want anything less for their children.

But none of this is possible with so many people on earth. Once again, depopulation is the obvious answer.

@amerika There's no socialism when everyone has to get their own food and fend off for themselves. Cities are the root of socialism. You'd be surprised by how many problems low population density solves.

Insightful and on point, IMHO. Cities make people dependent on manipulating each other.

@amerika Exactly, if too many people get together, they'll start relying too much on each other and lose their independence in a few generations. At that point the weak are able to survive/prosper and socialism starts looking appealing to more and more people.
It's a numbers game and the more people exist, the weaker us individualists become.
