Just a suggestion, if you want to make a metal note to avoid todays audio issue I have a simpler fix.

Instead of focusing on this one isolated incident of voice modulation, you make the mental note if you're flying solo to always Check The Chat. For 2+ hours everyone was telling you and you never checked once. Audio issue, connection issue, issue issue the chat will always be there for you so keep any eye on us.
