@Gonzo17 - I remember hearing about the "life history cycle" some time ago. It went: hard patriarchy (women are chattel property) to soft patriarchy (1950s America) to gynocentrism (right about now, basically), and then back to hard patriarchy.
The presenter chose soft patriarchy as the best option, and lamented that hard patriarchy seems to be a required step.
No one knew it at the time, but this is why hard patriarchy happens after gynocentrism. 🤷🏻♂️😅
