I stopped watching mainstream news but I did not realize how much I rely on this platform (that breaks news faster than other alternative sources) until it was down for a few days. Fortunately, I restarted my X subscription so I can follow other conservative alternative sources. I almost was going to go back to Fox News and Newsmax (the horror!).
I am less misinformed about history than the average person because I tended to watch cartoons instead of the news on the basis that at least I know the cartoons are making up false stuff
@IcarusWax
Look into Tim Ozman infinite plane media / infinite plane society philosophy on Autohoaxing the news
The burden of proof should be on the person asserting that the news story is true and not on the person asserting that a news story could be faked
A hoax is where no one died or was injured and the incident was fake
A false flag is where someone really died or was injured or had whatever bad thing happen to them but the wrong person or group is accused of committing the action
