@Based_Accelerationist i think it's the mouse epirement: once a population reaches a threshold, people form groups, they retreat in them and the population enter in a behavioral sink and everyone is fucked.
@Jm Indeed, but it seems to be collectivism that makes us weird. People in large groups tend to act in ways that make no sense individually. Whether it's Africans going into a violent stupor over a loud noise, soldiers marching to their deaths, or sports fans going crazy over a meaningless game, collectivism is the cause.
I understand people had to be like this back when life was dangerous and death was the only outcome if you didn't conform to the group, but nowadays it's just nonsensical.
