@N_Y_SparkyOxCable @RoninGrey - great empires are rarely good for the little people. A dark age may very well be glorious... after all, the "dark" bit, only refers to a lack of historical record. And the biggest employer of historians (/on-scene propagandists), is great conquerors - the kind that slay and oppress untold numbers of common folk like libertarians just trying to live their lives.
@I_AmTheKnight @N_Y_SparkyOxCable Of the most fascinating things about our current era is the flow of information (nicknamed the Information Age, after the "Space" Age).
It's amazing to me how we can all end up learning from each other at just the right time, from MGTOW brotherhood to moon landings to Jews to fake history. One will take something seriously and one wave it away. But the opportunity is there for learning. I'm now open to WAY crazier things than before, seeing the track record.
@I_AmTheKnight @N_Y_SparkyOxCable As a Christian, I don't believe God lies to us (we misinterpret), and I also believe what any intelligent thinker sees: it's clear who IS lying to us -- the "world" (feminism, moon landings, etc.). When you start relaxing and saying, "How far does it go?" it kind of is a bit much to take in as you see information you never even knew existed. And now, even what we have (what hadn't been destroyed yet) is being slowly erased and prevented from being shared.
