Firecrackers already started! It has to be the white neighbors. The black ones are probably chilling on their back patio smoking and smelling like they do.
They have to be quick and sneaky about it. The cops here don't mess around. But it brings me joy to hear people say "Screw you" to unnecessary regulations.
In black neighbirhoods I have visited they shoot fireworks year round or maybe it was Asian New Years
