My boomer dad is dying and won't sign power of attorney documents so I can pay the mortgage for the house he's about to get evicted out of. Wouldn't sign a will or advanced direct for years even before his health declined.
I still love my dad, but boomers are truly the worst sort of people. Thanks for leaving the family house to the bank, dad.
@Justicar Sorry to hear that.
@RegalBeagle my Dad had tow kids with another woman later in life and she about to steal my inheritance, my mom keeps pushing me to get a lawyer but, i already had two and they BOTH dropped my case.
@RodrickSage @RegalBeagle
Making problems. Refuse to deal with them and they do not take any advaces because they are "older and smarter"
When it is too late. Now it is your problem to deal with it.
While the problem could be taken care of 3 steps ahead. Like they can't even predict 1 move ahead.
@RodrickSage @RegalBeagle From your message, didn't you live with your mother away from him while he paid child support?
@Zeb @RegalBeagle he never married, but sure kept coming over for some sugar, Chad doing Chad things your, and woman just allows, or Chad stops coming over, he paid me $50 monthly on child support.
@RodrickSage @RegalBeagle I know man, system is fucked up. Without fathers to protect their daughters from being single mother /meatbag toys to chads, they always mess up. The sad part is the children always pay the price.
Forget that inheritance, it is what it is.
@RodrickSage Sorry to hear that. At least my dad's new wife never had kids, so at least she's working with us, mostly. When she's sober and not trying to sleep with the neighbors. Hopefully you can at least grab some sentimental items from the house. That's all I'll be getting before the sheriff dumps everything in the yard.
@RegalBeagle i can relate
