@dictatordave It's a lot easier to disappear than most think. You just have to do without a couple modern conveniences.

@Justicar Shovels can't do it alone. Washing machines are also punching above their pay grade.

Donald Trump isn’t going to save you, he’s 78 years old.

He provides a longer runway, but it’s up to you to take off.

Men’s shoulder vs hip ratio and weight makes them tip over.

If you are not sure if someone is trans … let them do this test (on first date preferably)

I'm gonna start calling Bluesky 'Wayland' since it's supposed to replace X but it's missing half the features and kinda sucks and most of the people who advocate for it do so for political-emotional rather than technical reasons

@remixtures Only here to shill Libre Office. Been using it for years and it just works. Switch to FOSS and take back control of your data.

"Microsoft Office, like many companies in recent months, has slyly turned on an “opt-out” feature that scrapes your Word and Excel documents to train its internal AI systems. This setting is turned on by default, and you have to manually uncheck a box in order to opt out.

If you are a writer who uses MS Word to write any proprietary content (blog posts, novels, or any work you intend to protect with copyright and/or sell), you’re going to want to turn this feature off immediately.

I won’t beat around the bush. Microsoft Office doesn’t make it easy to opt out of this new AI privacy agreement, as the feature is hidden through a series of popup menus in your settings:

On a Windows computer, follow these steps to turn off “Connected Experiences”: File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > Privacy Settings > Optional Connected Experiences > Uncheck box: “Turn on optional connected experiences”"

@[email protected] All I know about it are the memes. But a common theme of soy morality is the designated villain will be the one making sense, because NPCs see that and then claim the ideas are Literally Hitler. Real humans judge ideas based on merit.

@shinichihaku I've heard the Barbie Movie may also be in this category, but I haven't seen it.

@pwm How do you all keep getting into my kitchen?
