It's like endless Windows updates. It's just refinements and speed increases and processors. Where's the completely New Thing? There hasn't been a New Thing since the cell phone came out, and before that there was a New Thing every year or so. There's an army of PR to convince you that they really are New Things, but they're not. Diversity and defending against diversity takes so much energy that the innovators can't be creative any more. Soon people won't even remember how things work, let alone be able to fix them. And there's no Second Foundation waiting to save us.

@Eleutheria2 @LostInCalifornia We'll see how that plays out with all the productive Californians fleeing to Texas.

The absolute state of the West 😏 what are we even doing. Look at those fucking things, we're allowing them to roam around freely in our communities with equal rights and you're legally bound to call them human. These creatures are visibly hostile and definitely not of our own. They don't belong among us.

@LostInCalifornia Sweatshops are hellholes that also produce lots of tax revenue. These concepts are not mutually exclusive.

Tyranny doesn't make you safer.

You didn't need to fear no knock raids in 1999, but now you do.

@notenoughtech A fingerprint scanner isn't a camera taking a picture or 3d scan of your face/eye. I don't use fingerprint scanners, either, but the technologies are very different. Regardless of hashing, an actual picture or pointmap needs to be collected at some point in the authentication process.
