The answer to this is funnel kids into SpaceX and Tesla like we funneled them into factory jobs before. Revamp the model so college isn’t necessary and the pool can grow. Are the brains not out there? Can nothing be taught on the job? You think Capitalist gang would get this.
Why is industry waiting for the perfect education system to be handed to them on a platter? Go out and build it. Maybe there’s a deeper issue they’re not talking about, and they’re accepting cheap jeets as a lousy concession?
This illustrates the point perfectly. It’s not about the degree, or the extracurriculars. These kids would be suited without those. It’s about race. Let’s just be honest.

There’s no excuse. Hire these kids at 18 out of highschool.
