I wonder. Did the Africans ever even discover metal?
I recon without Whites and Asians helping them they would default reset to the stone age and start building their houses out of fecal matter again.
@EvolLove Some parts of Africa never discovered metalworking nor clothes as we know them. Some didn’t even discover music in any sense similar to what defined other civilisations.
Actually, I think the real answer is none of them did (maybe with exception of the Ethiopians) but all eventually got them through exposure to Arabs and Europeans.
If I were to guess I would guess that no African tribe ever discovered metal works.
Just like how the natives of north America made their arrow and spear tips of stones and how they used sharp stones and bones as tools.
They hadn't even domesticated the horse and they hadn't invented the wheel
Same with Africa. Stone age tribes, apparently unable to evolve further
Which is strange considering how evolved for example Japan was at that time
Though somewhat isolated
@EvolLove @charliebrownau I once read on the wheel and it seems it might have been invented only once. The archæological evidence points towards some place near Mesopotamia. Risking “we wuzzery” I’d imagine our ancestors who rode on chariots, tamed horses and mastered bronze weapons before expanding around the world, might have had something to do with it; but even if they didn’t, they certainly put it to the most use.
Anyway, sub-Saharans were never gonna get the wheel if it depended on other people with the wheel teaching them. Same as native Americans.
I’m more impressed by how the bow and arrow seem to have been independently discovered around the world, though.
inb4 it’s another case of the wheel
As I wrote in my previous comment I was actually kind of impressed that they managed to invent the bow and arrow and spears.
Perhaps some ancient neanderthaler showed them how it was done eons ago?
