No joke, I have him herding chigguns now.
All I have to say is "Put em' back" and he starts barking.
If they don't move, he starts chasing them back to the coop.
I've turned a hunting/tracking hound into a herding dog.

Being White is breddy awesome.

@LawrenceGerald A Basset Hound is like having stubborn a 3-year-old.
They mostly do what they want unless there's a carrot involved.
By carrot I mean fresh egg, a little ham, or some other form of food.
They are great with kids and other dogs though.

Honestly, I think he only decided to help me herd the chickens into the coop because it meant getting his customary fresh egg faster.

"The faster them cluckers get in the coop, the faster I get my egg. Fine, I guess I'll give you a hand."

@Honkers @LawrenceGerald That "Biscuit Eater" will never be a good bird dog with that motivation
