mestizos is a term primarily used to denote people of mixed Spanish and Amerindian descent in Hispanic America

mulattos a person of mixed white and Black ancestry, especially a person with one white and one Black parent.

quadroons a person having one-fourth Black ancestry, with one Black grandparent; the offspring of a mulatto and a white person

octoroons a person having one-eighth Black ancestry, with one Black great-grandparent; the offspring of a quadroon and a white person.
