Two weeks before 9-11 there was a 'power down event' which cleared all tenants out. An IT guy who was there was a guest on Myth of the 20th Century.

Once I heard that the last missing piece was in place for controlled demolition. They used the power down clearout to plant the demolition charges in the upper stories of the towers unobserved.
