“We are never gonna out-breed the shitskins, Whites are a K selected species. All throughout history we maintained our territory through order and conquest rather than breeding like rats.”

I don’t think so, mate.

American Protestant Christianity invented modern feminism. It probably came from a belief in “women are mysterious, and therefore must be venerated.” You can see Tucker Carlson espouse this occult belief occasionally on his videos.

"In real life conservative Christians are very nice people and I have no trouble getting along with them."

I've talked to Appalachian and Southern White Christians IRL, and they remember in the old days that their typical family sizes were 6-7 kids per family, before feminism got fully implemented. Yet the gollum-like basic fedi Christian deny that Whites had large families, just like patriarchal Muslim countries such as Afghanistan and Chad.

@vonzeppelin Tyranny correlated with consent in most of the country with ultra-blue states having severe lockdowns and red states being much more lenient. Michigan, a swing state, seems to have been an outlier.

I think they tune these things pretty carefully so as not to set people off.

"If they go hard enough on Marxism Democrats could blow the midterms. Not because democracy works, but because the plutocrats will panic and start rigging elections against Team Blue."

Look how Massie, a popular Republican in podunk Kentucky, mysteriously lost his GOP primary to a nobody by 10 percentage points. After Massie started criticizing ZOG and israel.
@judgedread A quick search shows how heavily mechanical printing was controlled and suppressed at the time by the ruling monarchies. Especially in centralised Asia where it was originally invented.

Europe at the time comprised 10 to 15 major monarchies and contained hundreds of smaller semi-independent feudal states. Much simpler for something like printing to slip through and take hold.

A few decades later the Church splits and the world changes.

Today is about 40 years since the internet was invented and about 30 years since access opened to almost everyone.

@petra The internet ramped up very slowly, with the link of two computers in 1969 being deemed the origin by most histories. In 1971 there were 22 sites linked on ARPANET.

1994 is when normies began arriving in significant numbers.
@jb Printing press enables Luther, Luther causes the Reformation, the Reformation shatters the ruling class into dozens of warring sects, merchants slip through the breach and industrialize the world.
@jb I'm a Reformation supporter... because I'm not a Christian.

If you catch my meaning.

The industrial revolution was deliberately prevented for two thousand years until a single invention made in secret - the Gutenberg press - managed to slip through and shatter the ruling class enough that it couldn't regroup in time to network shatter the merchants.

That's the answer to Donald McCloskey's question: 'Why did it happen when it did?'
Mises interpreted the intellectuals hatred of capitalism as being due to irrational resentment of the normies revealed preferences.

But what if their hatred had a more rational source - their paymasters?

Right up until the collapse of communism there was a remnant of snobs who hated capitalism BECAUSE it generated economic growth. They mostly vanished after that, dragged down by the undertow of communism's humiliating defeat which was, of course, the result of its failure to deliver the goods.

In that cultural moment the last thing anyone wanted to hear about was degrowth.

But now they seem to have crept back. Many might be right here...
